  • The world's most famous trick and trials rider, has done it again
  • On trail and tar, Danny MacAskill does amazing things with his Santa Cruz bikes
  • For this latest video, he is joined by fellow Scotsman, Kriss Kyle - and they aren't afraid to share footage of when things to wrong

Danny MacAskill needs no introduction. The Scotsman has produced some of YouTube’s most viewed extreme mountain bike and street riding edits.

Since his breakout back in 2009, with an amateur edit uploaded to YouTube, MacAskill has been pushing the limits of riding and cycling cinematography.

His 22 videos have garnered hundreds of millions in views, and now, there is a 23th. Although the United Kingdom lockdown has proved challenging for MacAskill’s riding and filming ambitions, his latest project, has now been released.

Look and learn, what a bike can really do

It is called ‘This and That’ and features MacAskill riding some truly impossible off-road obstacles on his mountain bike. Fellow Scottish rider, Kriss Kyle, is the supporting cast and together they will thrill you for 06:23, as the extremely talented duo do ridiculous things on their mountain bikes and street BMXs.

Some of MacAskill’s video projects have been enormous undertakings, requiring months of filming. ‘This and That’ was captured in only six days, but is no less thrilling to view.

Despite his enormous riding talent, Danny MacAskill remains wonderfully humble. His roots on the Isle of Skye, counterbalances any sense of celebrity.

It doesn't always go right

MacAskill has never been shy to admit that some of the tricks and obstacles he conquers, can take many, many attempts. Evidence of this, is the ‘This and That’ bloopers reel.

It proves that beneath Danny MacAskill’s charmingly affable persona, lurks a very tough rider. The 35-year old shrugs the type of crashes, that would make most mountain bikers consider doing something else.

And his bikes? MacAskill rides a unique carbon-fibre street bike, built for him, by Santa Cruz. The American brand also supplies his mountain bike, which is the 5010 model, rolling 27.5” wheels, with 130mm of rear-suspension and a 140mm fork.
