There is a fallacy in cycling about suffering. Too many people believe that riding can be a painful and uncomfortable experience that only goes away by spending many hours on the bicycle.

Bike fit specialist Marcel de Wit thinks that is a severe misconception. You should never have to ‘tough-it-out’.

"I like to help average cyclists who might not have the ideal cycling physique and get them comfortable on their bicycles. Nobody needs to experience pain and niggles when cycling, especially when starting out. Sure, all levels of cyclists will experience fatigue after a prolonged period, but there is a grip or saddle suited to every rider and a proper setup can allow anyone to cycle comfortably."
