The Cape Epic has a new kit partner. For those who ardently follow the world’s most famous mountain bike race and are keen apparel collectors, Ciovita is now the official technical cycling apparel partner.

If you were wondering about the etymology, Ciovita combines Italian and Latin words, meaning ‘life in motion’.

The Cape Town brand will be manufacturing a selection of jerseys and other bits of kit, for the Cape Epic. Ciovita will make all leader and special category jerseys for the Cape Epic. Event jerseys will also be by Ciovita and the company will offer participating teams a series of custom kit options.

Some of the latest Ciovita features will be part of their Cape Epic jerseys. Aware of the heat burden that is often part of any Cape Epic event, these jerseys will have extensive UV protection and ample ventilation panels. A 3D Nanotech four-way stretch fabric provides the overall dynamic fit comfort.

Ciovita CEO, Andrew Gold, is excited. "I have followed the Epic Series for years and this partnership is nothing short of a dream come true. Ciovita has forged its own path in the cycling industry and our growth has been phenomenal both a local and international scale."

The international exposure will come via the Epic Series, a way for riders to qualify to enter a Cape Epic.

Global races that constitute the Epic Series include the Swiss Epic (SUI); Andorra MTB Classic (Andorra), Cymru MTB Classic (Wales), Reef to Reef, Port to Port and Cape to Cape (AUS), and 4Islands MTB Croatia (CRO).
