Paul Senyol is an acclaimed South African abstract painter who creates artworks with unique texture and colour. Senyol is also an avid cyclist and was recently able to combine his two passions into creating an art piece he plans to ride frequently.

Senyol never planned to create his own custom bike, but several events culminated in the perfect opportunity.

"About 18 months ago, I painted a set of South wheels that were then auctioned off for charity. Dane from Killat saw these wheels and asked me to paint a frame for him. As payment for painting that frame, he agreed to give me a Mercer frame which I could do whatever I wanted with," explains Senyol.
