Taroko Trail Park. You could be forgiven thinking its origins aligned with Jumanji or Jurassic Park.

However, the name originates from one of China's nine national parks: Taroko National Park.

Within Modderfontein, Taroko Trail Park's history is almost as complex. It was first established as Modderfontein Village in 1894 to meet the needs of mining operations.
