Just over ten minutes outside of the strangely busy town of Ceres, lies the farm of Eselfontein.

Nestled against the Matroosberg mountain peaks it offers dry, almost desert-like conditions, interspersed with loamy soil at the bottom. The kind of soil that makes this area so great for farming everything from grapes to citrus – and also ideal, for mountain bike trail riding.

If you plan on driving to the Eselfontein farm you will need to do it during working hours, as entry to the farm has to be done via a phone call to boerdery management.
