A passionate wine industry professional and mountain biker, Jacques de Klerk’s journey to both didn’t start conventionally.

After disengaging from a Stellenbosch University law degree, Jacques travelled to the celebrated French winemaking region of Languedoc-Roussillon.

Working on farms and wine shops in southern France awoke a deeper sense of winemaking and its associated culture. Returning to South Africa, Jacques studied at Elsenburg and started his career as a winemaker.
