The Absa Cape Epic 2021 kicks off today. The eight-day race is often referred as the "Tour de France of mountain biking" and is the most prestigious mountain bike stage race in the world.

The Prologue makes for a fitting curtain raiser for what is being billed as one of the most technically challenging routes in the history of the race.
