Dr Sabrina Jackson, the people expert, told Fox 2 that there are many benefits to having a good cry. “Well, it really helps you took purge, it helps you get things out of you. There are really three reasons why we cry; we cry to cleanse the eye, we cry because there may be an injury or an infection in the eye or allergies with the eyes, but the third is emotions,” she says.

Crying can alert others close to you that you require assistance. It gets you support from others because there’s something about the human; when we see other humans cry, we want to help them. So it allows people to come to our assistance and our aid.
