Celebs can't give real advice

I am so glad I’m not the only that thinks Gwyneth Paltrow is boring

When I heard about her cookbook, I wondered what on earth could be in it.  Well now that I know roasted tomatoes are featured I can only wonder what other treasures it contains.

Yes I am being sarcastic. I would never buy a recipe book by someone who looks like they haven’t seen a tasty meal rich in carbs since the 1990’s. Seriously!

Quite honestly I think we are tired of seeing perfect celebrities with their personal trainers and minimal calorie diets tell us how easy it is to stay in shape.

I would love to get up in the morning and spend hours in the gym (oh alright I really wouldn’t – but that is besides the point).

The gist of the matter is that I don’t have time to do three hours of training and then eat an organic vegetable.I get up in the morning and go to work.

I like to squeeze in a gym workout after work but it is nowhere near the hours celebs put in.  I don’t have an array of staff to tend to my every whim.

Our home doesn’t clean itself, meals don’t get cooked on their own and if I don’t iron I’d look like I’d slept in my clothes. So I don’t have time to live in designer minis, telling everyone I’m fabulous while promoting a cookbook.

Celebs that are perfect are about as warm and welcoming as ice sculptures.I think that is why we all love those ‘celebs without make-up’ pics.

Deep down we all appreciate real people.Genuine people who enjoy slap chips. Who look like they are grabbing life with both hands. Not hauling a baking tray with roasted tomatoes out of the oven.

Here is to carbs and real people.
