For those of you who aren’t beauty pageant fundis, Melinda Bam was crowned as the most beautiful woman in South Africa back in 2011.
Two years later, she has taken the title of Veet Ambassador from Cindy Nell (who was Miss South Africa in 2000).
Veet is currently the leading female hair removal brand and has been giving us safe and effective hair removal products for the past 80 years.
Marketing Manager of Veet, Bevan Lewis, says he hopes Veet will continue providing the women of South Africa and the rest of the world with safe, convenient products that will leave our skin feeling soft to the touch.
This is great news for women who want to use a hair remover that will leave their skin looking and feeling absolutely amazing.
As the brand ambassador, Melinda’s job won’t just be to look pretty and smile at the camera. The Veet Beauty Secrets campaign will also divulge some skincare secrets that will have you glowing this Spring, put a spring in your step and boost your confidence.
When asked about how she feels being the new Veet Ambassador, Melinda had this to say:
“I am so proud to have been given this opportunity. I love the Veet brand and use the products regularly. They are quick and easy to use and always leave me feeling smooth and confident”.
Veet commercials featuring Melinda are set to air during the upcoming weeks and the Veet Beauty Secrets campaign will give Veet lovers a chance to interact with Melinda and watch her as she demonstrates the simplicity of using Veet products.

For the time being, here are two tips from Melinda for those of you aren’t satisfied with just shaving:
1. Waxing can be the simplest and most effective hair removal method and is made especially convenient thanks to Veet’s Ready-to-Use Wax strips, which can be carried with you and used anywhere discretely.
And if the convenience wasn’t enough, the fact that the more you wax the less hair you have, should do the trick!
