Tracey Lange to model in CT fashion week

Smile 90.4 FM radio personality Tracey Lange, will be the first non-professional model to participate in the 2013 Cape Town Fashion Week taking place from 8 to 10 August 2013 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

She says: 'I’ll be modeling for the designer Danielle Margaux on Women’s Day - Friday, 9 August. I’ve worn numerous of her creations to events, and she created my Huisgenoot Tempo Awards dress as well. She then asked if I’d be keen to model an altered version of the dress at Fashion Week and be the show stopper. I absolutely could not decline the offer.'

With several shows over the three-day period, Cape Town Fashion Week gives top notch South African designers the opportunity to reveal their 2013 spring and summer collections.

'I’m super excited about this wonderful opportunity! This is such a great event and to be asked to be there as a ‘model’ is an honour. It’s another childhood dream come true. This is the first time I’ll be participating in Fashion Week, and what a year to do it in. So many dreams have come true for me this year,' she says. 'I haven’t done any ramp modeling and that in itself is scary.

She jokes: 'In preparation I’ve been entertaining everyone at the office by practicing my walk in the passages. As for the rest of it, I’m going to stop eating three days prior to the event. My biggest worry is that I might fall on the run way.'

Tune into Smile 90.4 FM weekdays from 18h00 to 21h00 to enjoy the Tracey Lange show, featuring the Red Carpet Diaries. Listeners that would like to see Lange in action can also catch her at the Women’s Festival at Artscape on 8 August, where she will be the master of ceremonies.
