High blood pressure - the silent killer

This week, on 17th May, it is World Hypertension Day

Did you know that hypertension or high blood pressure is labelled the ‘silent killer’?

This is because it can lead to stroke or heart disease, and the symptoms are often mild and not detected.

Listen to your body. Do you have any of the following symptoms:

Reoccurring headaches, dizziness, blurred vision or sore eyes, shortness of breath, feelings of heart palpitations or dizziness?

If you do, have your blood pressure checked. If it’s high and you take action, it can save your life!
