Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would end a day well spent with friends and their children in an ambulance, with my 3-year-old and 10-month-old.

A dirty, bleeding and, most of all, confused mother, I had forgotten that I live in South Africa, where anything is possible.

We spent the day with our friends in Naturana, Johannesburg South, and just after 21:00, said our goodbyes and drove off.
