Ashley adds that affirmations are something she's been talking about since she was in her late teens to early 20s. She says, "Affirmations really got me out of this negative time in my life and I wanted to quit and didn't want to keep going as a model and fight this systemic issue of what we're supposed to be and how perfect we're supposed to be in society and media.
"I have really championed affirmations, especially getting out of a rut, whatever rut you're in."
Touted as a symbol for body positivity, the model has previously shared that there have been times she hasn't "always felt confident" in her body. She also encouraged people who were not so positive about their appearance to strip down, embrace the areas they dislike about themselves and find their inner role model.
She also revealed she tells herself she's bold, beautiful and can do whatever she wants.
