If your hair and skin feel the effects of a stressful 2020, turn to charming chamomile for help.

It's known for its anti-inflammatory properties, with many people relying on a warming cup of dried daisy-like flowers during times of stress.

It also helps with skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, plus it has benefits for hair too.

Here are some quick and easy tips for using this herbal hero in your beauty regime:

If your roots are suffering and you won't be seeing a hairdresser anytime soon, then try applying some cooled chamomile tea to your scalp or strands for highlights. This will also promote healthier, shinier hair.

Chamomile tea works to alleviate itchiness, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties. Simply make a cup, leave it to cool, and apply to your head, using your fingers to massage your scalp for an added invigorating boost.

If your skin is suffering a breakout, mix a few drops of chamomile oil with evening primrose oil. The calming anti-inflammatory benefits of chamomile will make a real difference to blemishes and uneven patches of skin.

For eczema and rashes, mix three drops of Roman chamomile oil with coconut oil and apply them to the problem area. This will calm, hydrate, and moisturise. Chamomile also works for sunburn, you can also add a couple of drops to a warm bath.
