Baby naming should be a fun occasion for couples, unless the soon-to-be parents can't find common ground.
How exactly names are selected differs from family to family, but Kristina's parents decided to keep her gender a mystery until the birth and then if it's a girl, her dad will come up with the name or if it is a boy, her mom will come up with the name.
Kristina shared this information on Tiktok and revealed how exactly her dad picked her name, before inviting her followers to share the stories of their names.
"So I feel like most people who are named after somebody have like a cute story behind it," she says in the popular clip, "or they are named after somebody special... that is not the case for me."
She skipped to the day she was born via a C-section, and her mom was still "out of it" due to the amount of medication she was given.
Kristina's dad completed the necessary paperwork while his wife recovered, and chose the name 'Kristina'.

When Kristina's mom woke up, she had no problem with the name... until she found out that her partner was cheating on her and the other women's name was, you guessed it: Kristina.
Kristina thinks that her dad named her this so that if he messed up and called her mom the wrong name, he could say he was talking about his new baby daughter instead.
Her post received many comments, with some of her followers sharing the dubious inspiration behind their names.
"I am named after the brand of my dad's favourite guitar… I am just glad he liked his Taylor more than he liked his telecaster," wrote Taylor Cupp.
Lenae88 shared, "My dad heard a story on the radio about a girl named Lenae who was murdered."
Another follower, Nicole, shared that her dad named her after a girl he had a crush on in middle school. However, when the mom heard about this, she stabbed him with a fork.
