For the first time since the 2017 Japanese Grand Prix, two Red Bull drivers stood on a Formula 1 podium. The team may not have won the race - that honour belonged to champion and Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton - but second and third are pretty damn decent. Especially given the race we witnessed in Bahrain this past weekend.

Max Verstappen came home in second place, while his under-pressure team mate, Alex Albon came home in third. Granted, Albon was nowhere near Verstappen's pace during the race and benefited from an engine failure suffered by Racing Point's Sergio Perez. But such is racing, and Albon is chuffed with himself for recording the second podium of his career.

As if to kill the flame on a candle, Verstappen didn't mince his words when he said, after the race, that Albon did not deserve the podium finish. Simply because he inherited it from another's misfortune and was almost 40 seconds behind Verstappen when the safety car was deployed near the end of the race. It all brings us to the one question that hangs over Albon's head as the end of the season draws near: Did he do enough with his Bahrain performance to secure a race seat with Red Bull Racing in 2021?
