An unnamed woman rushed to Reddit asking for advice about what she should do in a sticky situation. She shared that she had been in a relationship with a man named Joe for only three months and after their break-up she realised that she was pregnant.

During this time, Joe had moved on and rekindled an old spark with an ex-girlfriend called Kim.

This unnamed woman says that even though there was no chance of getting back together with Joe, she told him about the baby, and he was ecstatic.

As it turns out, Kim had fertility issues, and a fertility specialists told her that she would never conceive naturally. According to the unnamed woman, after hearing about her pregnancy, Kim started acting strange.

The first appointment

Before lockdown, she took Joe to the first doctor's appointment, where they discovered they were expecting twins. Joe broke the news to Kim who asked Joe if she could speak to the mother of the unborn children privately.

Without hesitation, the meeting was held at Kim's place, and Joe was present. It was then that Kim started listing her demands.

She insisted on a home birth so that she could be present and suggested that the children be fed exclusively with formula so that she could have the children for half the week.

She wanted the babies to call her 'mama' as she reckons they will call their biological mother 'mommy'.

The mom-to-be told her off and that she would do what she thinks is best for her unborn children, but Kim did not stop there.

Kim started texting, telling her what she should eat, and how much exercise she needed to do for the sake of the babies. Later she began to vent about her workplace which refused to give her maternity leave since she was not carrying the babies.

'Expecting twins the non-traditional way'

A virtual genetics consultation was arranged, where Kim attended instead of Joe. Kim took over this meeting, going on and on about her family history, which was irrelevant since she was not carrying the babies.

Soon after, the mom-to-be went to her 20-week scan. This time, she insisted that the father of the children be the one who attended. At this appointment, she was going to find out the gender of the babies and she wanted it to be a secret so that she could host a gender reveal party.

Just after the appointment, the mom-to-be posted online about the party. She noted that soon after, Kim updated her social media and talked about how 'they're expecting twins the non-traditional way' and how blessed she was to be part of this.

Kim took it a bit further and actually threw a gender reveal party, and the mom-to-be was not invited. Kim also announced to her friends that she would have a baby shower for the twins.

The mom-to-be furiously commented on the post, saying that Kim should stop treating her like a surrogate and accept that the twins are not hers. She also made it clear that Joe could not claim custody of the babies until they were born.

After this comment, she reiterated all that she told Kim to Joe and made it clear that she will not be seeing them until they went to family court and said to them that her mother would be her birthing partner.

After revealing all these details on Reddit, the mom-to-be admitted she felt conflicted as Kim's family and friends are calling her a bad person for distancing herself from Kim and Joe. Kim's mom insists that she should give Kim one of the babies.

This post had over 3000 responses, with many people horrified by Kim's behaviour and encouraging the mom-to-be to seek legal action immediately.
