The back to school rush is here, which means finding the best bargains on school stationery.
Ticking off items on the back-to-school stationery lists has been a dreaded activity long before the pandemic hit and according to Game's Vice President of Marketing Katherine Madley, things are becoming even more expensive thanks to the new normal.
The retailer has seen "a shift in the last two years" Madley says with items like laptops, tablets, earphones, and headsets now also becoming commonly purchased items among back-to-school shoppers.
"There has also been a larger demand for printers, scanners, and printing paper".
However, essential items like glue sticks, pencils, pens and printer paper remain the most desirable school stationery items Madley says.

'For a lower price'
To ensure you're getting the best value for money, Madley suggests buying in bulk.
"Parents should look to buy value packs of stationery items where possible, or bundle deals where you get a couple of items together for a lower price – this always works well with stationery, as it is a category that will always be useful throughout the year".
Madley also highlights Game's Price Beat Promise, explaining that "if parents find the items we sell cheaper anywhere else, they are eligible to pay the lower price for the item and get 10% back on the difference between the prices".
