Denim is one of those fabrics that are always on trend and in season, but styling denim up can be a bit tricky sometimes.

For inspiration, Blake Von D shares the different ways she styles this cool-girl fashion staple.

Denim jumpsuit

"What I love about this piece is that it takes the idea of overalls and makes it a lot more current and in trend. I like to pair it with a simple white off-the-shoulder crop top to keep it casual."

Oversized denim jacket

"This piece has a '90s retro throwback kind of feel, so it's a great way to play with errors."

Bootleg jeans

“So, when it comes to denim, we all know that jeans are a go-to, but you can play around with shapes and silhouettes by trying out a high-waisted or wide-legged pair.

"I like to pair my wide-leg denim with a loose flowy top because that way it balances out the proportion."

Denim maxi

"You can wear it with anything. It's great in the summer, and it's going to last you forever. It's timeless. I've had mine since college, and I still love it."

Blake likes to pair hers with visually interesting pants such as striped linen pants.
