Milk baths: the latest pregnancy photo craze!

Cleopatra, Elizabeth I and the Empress of Austria famously swore by the beautifying benefits of a milk bath.

Far beyond its skin-enhancing abilities, milk baths can also be incredibly visually striking, as proven by the latest trend in maternity photography.

Expectant mothers are immersed in a bath filled with milk and adorned with flowers, and the images couldn't be lovelier.

The originator of this new wave of maternity photography, Tiffany Burke, certainly thought up the perfect visual metaphor – given the amount of time moms-to-be will be thinking about, making and supplying milk, the life-giving substance to their newborns.

Here we've rounded up a few of the most gorgeous milk bath portraits by a few fantastically creative photographers.
