The refined baby food your baby has learnt to eat is not going to interest her for much longer. Over and above her becoming tired of the runny food, it's also important – for several reasons – that she learns to eat more textured food.
Coarser food means she needs to chew, and even if she doesn't have a single tooth, she's going to start practising for all the chewing that awaits.
All the chewing strengthens her tongue and mouth muscles, so that she can stick her tongue out at Dad but also start saying little words real soon.
