And we thank the style gods that we unlearn this arbitrary gendering of colours by the time we can spell the word 'blue', otherwise our wardrobes would lack character and the classic blue eyeshadow of the '80s would have never had its deserved moment.

Speaking of classic blue, Pantone recently made their colour of the year announcement, and as previously mentioned on W24's 2020 fashion forecast; what this information may influence is our "purchasing decisions in multiple industries, including fashion, home furnishings, and industrial design, as well as product packaging and graphic design."

It can be said that 2018 and 2019 probably had the most successful Pantone selections for trends, as 'Ultra Violet' and 'Living Coral' both saw the introduction of several purple and orange-hued products and items into our makeup bags and wardrobes. And we think 'Classic Blue' might complete this hat-trick, as runways, red carpets, and the streets have already heeded the call to ride the blue wave.
