Yekaterina 'Kate' Shumskaya has racked up 10.2 million followers to her social media channels, after playing on her likeness to the Avengers actress. Since her first post in February, she has been hired by an agency to represent her and is now managing to support her family, and has relocated to Moscow.

It was friends who first pointed out her likeness to the star when she was 17 years old. Now, at 25, Kate hopes to use her fame to pursue her dreams of modelling - as herself, not Scarlett.

But it has not always been easy. Kate reveals she's received threats when she dressed up in a cosplay outfit from Scarlett Johansson's role in Ghost in the Shell. She faced criticism, much like the Hollywood star herself, for whitewashing an Asian role.
"Some people commented, saying, 'Let's kill her' when I attempted to cosplay Scarlett's character from that movie. People from all over the world dress up as that character, but they decided to attack me because I'm a lookalike. It was very unpleasant," says Kate.
Still, she sees a future for herself as a cosplayer at international events and continues to work on her modelling career.
