For one particular driver, the 2020 Formula 1 season got off to the best possible start. Lando Norris of McLaren Renault impressed from the very first race in Austria two Sundays back, scoring the first podium finish of his career.
Norris drove a brilliant race to benefit from a penalty Lewis Hamilton received. In that race, he finished third behind Valtteri Bottas, Hamilton's Mercedes team mate, and Charles Leclerc from Ferrari.

What made it even more special was that Norris' McLaren is not the fastest car on the grid, but the improvements made by the team over the winter break is paying dividends. And in his second race of the season, this past Sunday, he scored a magnificent fifth-place finish to end the Styrian Grand Prix as the first driver behind the four fastest cars. How awesome is that?!
But Norris' first podium finish highlighted another important factor: he became one of the youngest drivers in the sport's history to secure a podium finish! Of the five youngest podium finishers listed here, four drivers etched their names in the history books since 2015. Only Sebastian Vettel scored his first podium with a sensational drive at a very wet Italian Grand Prix in 2008.
