The Covid-19 pandemic led to regulations, including lockdowns, all over the world to mitigate the spread of the virus that causes the disease.

Lockdowns changed people's routines. Gyms were empty, many people were from home and learning took place online. In other words, people spent more time seated and less time doing physical activities.

A new study has found that decreased levels of activity have led to higher levels of depression.
