Can we even call them New Year's resolutions if they haven't been forgotten or broken by the second day of the new year?
For parents, creating a list of goals for the coming year might work best if they're more family-focused.

Make plans for some one-on-one time with your child. In bigger families, undivided attention can be a rare treat.
4. Make a money goal to manage together
Give your children a head start on financial literacy with lessons on budgeting, saving and investing. But be sure to make the lessons fun and not too serious.
5. Plan an annual adventure
Stepping outside your normal routine can be an excellent way to bring family members closer.
6. Find an outside activity for the family
Search for a fun outdoors activity that everyone in the family can enjoy.
7. Learn something new together
Mastering a new skill alongside your children is another way to foster family bonds.
