1. Create a family tradition

Kids thrive on tradition, and they're perfect for creating happy memories for the whole family.

2. Cook together once a month

Cooking with your kids promotes family bonding and teaches an important skill.

3. Have a monthly date

Make plans for some one-on-one time with your child. In bigger families, undivided attention can be a rare treat.

4. Make a money goal to manage together

Give your children a head start on financial literacy with lessons on budgeting, saving and investing. But be sure to make the lessons fun and not too serious.

5. Plan an annual adventure

Stepping outside your normal routine can be an excellent way to bring family members closer.

6. Find an outside activity for the family

Search for a fun outdoors activity that everyone in the family can enjoy.

7. Learn something new together
