A woman who found an abandoned baby in Alaska, USA, posted a heartbreaking video on social media showing the infant swaddled in blankets, along with a tragic note left by his mother

"Please help me. I was born today... My parents and grandparents don't have food or money to raise me. They never wanted to do this to me," the note read.

Named Baby Teshawn, the newborn was taken by EMS to a hospital and was "found to be in good health," according to the medical team.

Roxy Lane, who discovered the baby in a cardboard box near a row of mailboxes, pleaded with anyone who knew his mother to reach out to her.

"I hope the mother gets the help she might need. I doubt they could have afforded to take her to the hospital... Please, someone who knows this new mom, check on her! She might be in a desperate situation," she wrote.
