Researchers at McMaster University found that stair-climbing routines can provide significant cardiovascular and muscular benefits.

They found that in the heart patients they were studying, it didn't matter if the stair-climbing was vigorous or moderate, the exercise was still beneficial.

The research was published in the journal Frontiers.
