TV personality Somizi Mhlongo and his actor husband Mohale Motaung grabbed headlines this week when Mohale sent shockwaves across the country with allegations of abuse against the Idols SA judge.
Following an announcement that he would be taking a leave of absence from his commitments at Metro FM and Idols SA, Somizi released a statement on Friday, "vehemently", denying allegations of physical and emotional abuse.
After months of tiptoeing around reports that the couple's marriage was on the rocks, Somizi further confirmed that their divorce would be finalised "fairly and responsibly".
