Kevin Hart is showing his support for friend Ellen DeGeneres.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show and its famous host has received backlash in recent weeks, with employees and former employees opening up about the "toxic work environment" fostered on the Warner Bros. set, while others accused the show’s producers of sexual misconduct.

Warner Media has launched an internal investigation into the allegations.

Kevin Hart took to Instagram to defend Ellen, saying: "It's crazy to see my friend go thru what she's going thru publicly. I have known Ellen for years and I can honestly say that she's one of the dopest people on the fucking planet. [sic]"

He added: "The internet has become a crazy world of negativity... we are falling in love with people's downfall. It's honestly sad... When did we get here?

"I stand by the ones that I know and that I love. Looking forward to the future where we get back to loving one another... this hate shit has to stop."

According to E! News, the two A-listers were spotted having lunch together and enjoying a glass of wine at the Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito, California on Saturday, amid the ongoing talk show controversy.

Both seemed relaxed in tropical blue shirts.

According to People, The Ellen DeGeneres Show is expected to return to TV screens next month, with Ellen as host.
