The Bachelor SA season two's Marc Buckner's dogs Luna and Siobhan have died.
Marisia van Wyk, who Marc gave his final rose at the end of the series, first revealed that the dogs had died on Monday.
"May angels lead you in. Hear you me, my friends. On sleepless roads, the sleepless go. May angels lead you in," she captioned two photos with the dogs.
"Both at once is worse than any nightmare I could have imagined," Marc posted in an Instagram Story.
Marc adopted Luna his "furry child" eight months before appearing on The Bachelor SA.
"She was abused previously. I don't know what she is - maybe other people could tell me. I think Africanis, Whippet, Doberman, probably a bit of everything actually. She does everything with me; goes everywhere with me," Marc previously told Channel24.
After making their relationship official, Marc and Marisia adopted a second dog together, Siobhan, who they nicknamed Si.
Marc and Maria have not commented on how the dogs died, but according to Facebook user Vicky Taljaardt both "were hit by a car near the Promenade."
"Thanks to everyone for all the messages. Just so broken and can't respond now," Marc shared in an Instagram Story, as kind messages continued to pour in on Monday.
"I just want to know that they are happy and together," he said in another Instagram Story. "I never knew it would be this difficult."
Channel24 reached out to Marc for additional comment and will update the article should more information become available.
