16 days after testing positive for Covid-19, radio and TV personality Mark Pilgrim, is back on his feet, and admits: "I never want to have to go through that again."
The Hot 91.9FM DJ kept his social media followers updated on his condition throughout the 14-day self-quarantine period, and in a letter to his immune system, wrote: "We've been through a lot together over the years. You kicked cancer's butt and also saved us after a heart attack. Now, you're being challenged again."
Six days after testing positive for Covid-19, Mark's heath "took a wrong turn," when x-rays revealed Covid-19 pneumonia had developed in his right lung.
Mark admitted that the most challenging part of the diagnosis was the "loneliness" and being separated from his loved ones.
"Next to cancer and the heart attack, fighting COVID will go down as life event number 3 for sure. It's been a tough one, mainly due to its unpredictability and the isolation from loved ones," he went on to say in a separate Instagram post.
On Thursday, Mark said on Instagram: "The storm has passed," adding that he was still "taking it slow," but feeling better every day. "Honestly, I NEVER want to have to go through that again. My thoughts are with you if you're positive right now," he wrote.
