  • Meta, formerly known as Facebook, suspended Kanye West's Instagram account on Wednesday, for 24 hours.
  • A Meta spokesperson said the restriction was put in place after West violated company policies on hate speech, bullying and harassment.
  • It is not clear which of West's posts violated Meta's policies; however, the rapper's most recent rant included a post in which he called South African comedian Trevor Noah a racial slur.

Kanye 'Ye' West is facing the consequences after his most recent rant on social media.

Meta, formerly known as Facebook, suspended West's Instagram account for 24 hours on Wednesday for violating company policies on hate speech, bullying and harassment, a spokesperson for the tech company said.

Per E! News, the restriction prevents the rapper from posting, commenting and sending DMs within the timeframe.

It is not clear which of West's posts violated Meta's policies; however, the rapper's most recent rant included a post in which he called South African comedian Trevor Noah a racial slur.

In addition, the Heartless rapper shared insulting posts about Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson and American actor D.L. Hughley.

Ye's attack on Noah came after The Daily Show host unpacked the rapper's highly publicised divorce from Kim Kardashian during a recent episode of the show.

A few of Kanye's recent posts, including the racial slurs towards Noah, have since been removed from Instagram.

The posts that remain are belligerent statements directed at Davidson and Dave Sirus – the SNL star's friend and King of Staten Island co-writer who shared text messages between Davidson and West.
