Miss Supranational Lalela Mswane has headed to Vietnam for the Harper's Bazaar Star Awards.

The South African beauty queen will touch down in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday and will attend the event as a VIP guest on Wednesday night. She is also expected to open the fashion show on the night, walking for one of Vietnam's top fashion designers.

The Harper's Bazaar Star Awards celebrates people and organisations who made outstanding contributions to the Vietnamese Luxury Industry in 2021 and 2022.

"It's my first visit to Asia, and I am beyond excited to visit Vietnam. I have heard amazing things about this country, and I cannot wait to experience everything Vietnam has to offer."
-- Miss Supranational Lalela Mswane said before departing from OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg

During her trip, Mswane will also be shooting for several top fashion magazines, including the cover of Harper's Bazaar Vietnam, and reunite with her 2nd runner-up at Miss Supranational 2022, Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen, to visit one of Kim Duyen's charitable projects.

On Saturday, ahead of her trip, Mswane attended the Miss Limpopo Province pageant, which was held at Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane.
