As anticipation for the release of The Woman King in South Africa grows, Thuso Mbedu has shared a clip to hold us over while we wait.
The South African actor has been on a press tour, promoting the historic epic worldwide, keeping her social media followers up to date with every move she makes.

On Wednesday, Mbedu shared a behind-the-scenes video, shot by filmmaker Brittney Janae, showing a glimpse of how the movie was made.
The clip shows scenes from the movie and how the cast trained in preparation for the physicality of being a warrior.

Janae travelled to South Africa for the first time specifically to film behind the scenes of The Woman King. During her trip, however, she also made a short film about her time in the country, calling it "an experience I will never forget".
"It was important for me to document the Motherland and my experience through film," Janae wrote in the description of her short film.
