- She, alongside Zakes Bantwini and Wouter Kellerman, took home the Best Global Music Performance award for their collaboration on Bayethe.

South African musician Nomcebo Zikode is still on a high after winning a Grammy award on Sunday night.
Zikode, alongside Zakes Bantwini and Wouter Kellerman, took home the Best Global Music Performance award for their collaboration on Bayethe at the 65th instalment of music's most prestigious event.
"I feel incredibly humbled and privileged to have won my first Grammy award," Zikode told News24 in a statement. "Just being nominated alone felt like a win for us, but to have actually won the award for Best Global Music Performance is a feeling I can't describe."

Following their win, the trio of musicians received praise from their fellow South Africans, including politicians and celebrities.
President Cyril Ramaphosa thanked Zikode, Zakes Bantwini and Kellerman for their "brilliant contribution in placing South Africa on the world stage" in a tweet.

Speaking about winning the award, Zakes Bantwini said he hoped it proved to all young South Africans that anything was possible.
Furthermore, in their acceptance speech, Kellerman noted that winning was "a beautiful moment on the road to sharing South African music and culture with the world".
