Lady Amelia Spencer married her longtime beau, Greg Mallett, at Quoin Rock Manor House in Stellenbosch on 21 March.
"It was genuinely the best day of our lives. It was better than I ever imagined," Amelia, the daughter of Earl Spencer, Princess Diana's younger brother, and former model Victoria Lockwood, tells Hello! Magazine, who shared the exclusive of the couple's wedding album.
The couple, who were University of Cape Town sweethearts and got engaged at Clouds Estate in Stellenbosch in 2020, married in front of family and friends, including the bride's twin sister Lady Eliza, older sister Lady Kitty, who is married to SA-born businessman Michael Lewis, and younger brother Samuel.
Earl Spencer did not attend the wedding; Samuel walked his sister down the aisle.
Amelia wore a custom Atelier Versace gown for the ceremony made from custom silk rebrodé lace. It featured a two-and-a-half-metre train, Swarovski crystals, a hand-embroidered neckline and structured shoulders, complete with intricate floral details.
On Mallett, who is related to rugby legend Nick Mallett, Amelia says: "In my vows, I said to Greg: 'In my heart, you've always been my husband and soulmate.' We're so lucky we're now married, but nothing's going to be different going forward."
Mallett tells the publication: "My love for Amelia has been reborn. Every day I fall more in love with this beautiful human by my side."
