Prince Harry's memoir, a "candid and emotionally powerful story," according to publisher Penguin Random House, will hit bookshelves on 10 January.

"He shares a remarkably moving personal journey from trauma to healing, one that speaks to the power of love and will inspire and encourage millions of people around the world," it said of Spare.

Ahead of the publication of his tell-all, Harry's given two sit-down interviews to ITV and 60 Minutes, which royalists are sure has only increased tension within the firm, as the institution continues to deal with the fallout of the prince and wife Meghan Markle's bombshell Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan.
