It looks like Friends fans are going to have to wait a bit longer for the HBO Max reunion episode.
The special was originally scheduled to begin filming in late March but was pushed back to May due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
In an interview with Variety, Bob Greenblatt, the WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer chairman said the episode could potentially be completed at the end of summer in the US.
"We’re holding out for being able to get this special done hopefully by the end of the summer, if the stars align and hopefully we can get back into production.
"We do think there’s a value to having a big, raucous live audience to experience these six great friends coming back together and we didn’t want to just suddenly do it on a web call with, you know, six squares and people shooting from their kitchens and bedrooms," said Bob.
In April the Friends cast joined the All In Challenge auctioning off a chance for six lucky fans to join them for their reunion special.
