
- Three South African professional dancers will take to the dancefloor in season 19 of Strictly Come Dancing UK.
- Oti Mabuse, Johannes Radebe and Cameron Lombard will show off their dance talent on a world-class stage.
- Johannes is paired with Great British Bake off star John Whaite, the show's first male same-sex pairing.
For the first time in Strictly Come Dancing history, there will be three South African professional dancers in the new season of the reality competition show.
Season 19 will air from Sunday, 26 September on BBC Brit (DStv 120) at 19:00 and will see fifteen new celebrity contestants and their professional dance partners, will compete in the hopes of walking away with this year's title and the glitterball trophy.
Pretoria born Oti Mabuse, the current Strictly title holder for 2019 and 2020.
Johannes Radebe, raised in Sasolburg, has won numerous dance titles, including two-time Professional South African Latin Champion and three-time South African Amateur Latin Champion. Johannes is paired with Great British Bake off star John Whaite, the show's first male same-sex pairing. In 2019 the 34-year-old performed the first same-sex dance duet with colleague Graziano Di Prima.
Newcomer Cameron Lombard hails from Cape Town and is the current Latin American Champion and represented South Africa at the World Latin Championships in Russia in 2019. Together the trio will showcase the very best in South African dance talent on a world-class stage.
Other celebrities appearing this season include competitive swimmer Adam Peaty, TV presenters AJ Odudu, Tilly Ramsey and Rhys Stephenson, journalist and presenter Dan Walker, and actors Greg Wise, Nina Wadia, Katie McGlynn and Eastenders regular Rose Ayling-Ellis. Comedians Judi Love and Robert Webb as well as businesswoman, entrepreneur and TV personality Sara Davies, musician Tom Fletcher and sports pundit and former Rugby Union player Ugo Monye
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman return as co-hosts. Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke return as judges.
