Frans Rautenbach was educated at Stellenbosch University (BA
LLB) and practised as an advocate at the Johannesburg Bar before moving to Cape
Town where he has worked as a labour lawyer in various roles. He has consulted
to the governments of Uganda and Tanzania on legislative reform and has written
a number of books on economic reform, including Set the Workers Free and South
Africa Can Work. His new book, Help Yourself South Africa: How Ordinary
Citizens Can Reform Our Broken Economy (www.footprintpress.co.za) argues that
South Africans can take the bull by the horns, sidestep the government that
holds us back, and drive change.
