The greatest downhill mountain biker of all time doesn't spend much time in South Africa, but a lot gets done when he does.

Balancing a demanding schedule of travelling the globe to test bikes pre-season and racing them worldwide throughout the year, Greg Minnaar isn't home often. But this year has been different.

Minnaar ended his season with a horrific injury after crashing heavily at the final UCI World Cup downhill round in Val di Sole, Italy.
