There were two pretty compelling reasons to do the King Price Race to the Sea.

First, as mentioned, it was now the official SA Gravel Bike Champs. Secondly, last year's inaugural event was one of my favourite rides of 2021.

Which meant, once again, The Smith Brothers were at the start line to do the 163km from Franschhoek to the Benguela Cove Wine Estate on the Bot River lagoon outside of Hermanus.
