Even trucks come up for sale at the Piston Ring!
Stuart Johnston

Twice a year, the 50-year-old Piston Club meets in the north-eastern part of Modderfontein, aptly known as Founders' Hill, where owners of classic cars or older vehicles meet and swap parts for their old jalopies. But, it's also a fabulous place to network or find leads for a part you can't find, and to listen to the live band known as 60 Shades of Grey, writes News24 contributor Stuart Johnston.

If you are looking for an indicator lens for a 1980s BMW 318i, a cylinder head for a 1958 Vauxhall Victor, or a dashboard to complete the restoration of a 1969 Capri 1600 GT, you should pop in at The Piston Ring Swap Meet, which takes place this Sunday in Modderfontein. You might not find those actual parts at the 120 stalls set up for this colossal motoring swap meet, but plenty of enthusiasts will help you on your quest.
