OPINION | What we've learnt about owning an electric vehicle in SA – especially with load shedding

My interest in cars morphed into a fascination with electric vehicles (EVs) around 2014 (Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model S, and then the BMW i3). Fast forward to 2018, and we bought our own BMW i3 demo model.

But what has life been like living with an EV where electricity is so unreliable?
