If you've been using dating apps for a while with little to no success, you've probably reached a point where you just feel exhausted. Because, let's be honest, the "getting to know you" or "talking stage" can be tiresome. And having to do it over and over with multiple people, only for that to lead to dead-end relationships, is enough to drain anyone.

If you find yourself at that point right now, you could be experiencing "dating app fatigue" or "dating app burnout" - yes, that is a real thing.

"People just get fatigued. They get overwhelmed with the whole dating process," Helen Fisher, a biological anthropologist and chief science adviser to Match.com, tells The New York Times
