A 29-year-old woman reached out to strangers on Reddit for advice after claiming her husband had spent their wedding anniversary with his female best friend and not with her.
"My husband has been best friends with Sasha since they were in diapers. I knew that and I never really had a problem with their friendship until my husband and I officially started dating.
"The Reddit user added that Sasha would "always try and get between" her and her husband when they first started dating, "coincidentally" showing up on all their dates. "Which was relatively annoying because my husband would let her stay with us on all those dates," she continued.
"Now, yesterday was my wedding anniversary, and my husband forgot since he had a road trip with Sasha. I didn't know about this road trip until he said he was leaving," she writes, saying that she did not bother to remind her husband about the special day because he would probably still choose to spend it with his friend.
"I just walked out and decided I was going to go shopping and do something for myself."

After receiving a call from her mother-in-law that day, she unearthed some surprising news about her hubby and his bestie.
"His mother called me during the day, wishing me a Happy anniversary and asked where my husband was because he wasn't answering his phone. I told her the truth about his whereabouts, and he didn't remember our anniversary.
"She was shocked and told me that she didn't think Sasha and my husband still had feelings for each other. I asked what did she mean. She said that they did date in high school, but my husband told me that he never did like Sasha romantically."
The mystery woman then reached a sad conclusion, assuming that her husband had been in love with his friend all along.
"Maybe he did remember our anniversary but chose not to say anything because he loved Sasha. If he loved her, [he] could have told me before we got married. I would have been hurt, but I understand feelings, and I know you can't control them. I don't know how to comprehend anything right now. I'm numb, and I don't get [it]. All I know is that my husband doesn't even love me."

Taking to the comments section, another Reddit user shared their opinion on the matter: "OP [original poster], you have wasted 5 years on this man. Don't waste anymore. Get the hell out. Don't be a third wheel in your own marriage. Have a good cry alone. Raise your chin up and walk out. You deserve much better. Strangers are rooting for you. We have only one life and only so much time, don't waste on people who don't value you.
"Another added: "He clearly has zero respect for your relationship. I can't even fathom a husband not telling his wife he's going on a road trip. You know damn well that Sasha knows it's your wedding anniversary, and she planned this. I'm so sorry. You will never come first, and that is not a marriage. It's best to leave now while you still have time to find someone else."
