Celebrities are known to always introduce new trends to the public and our favourite trend is when they drifted from the traditional white wedding gown for their special day. From biker jackets, to silver sequins, these celebrities wore non-traditional wedding gowns.

Solange got married to Alan Ferguson in November 2014. Although now they are separated, Solange walked down the aisle in New Orleans wearing a caped Stephane Rolland jumpsuit. The singer later changed for her ceremony and wore a caped full length gown by Humberto Leon for Kenzo.

American actress Piper Perabo married Hollywood director, Stephen Kay in 2014 in New York City. The actress made two bold choices for her wedding, she wore a silver sequin dress by Michael Kors and for her veil she chose to wear the colour yellow.
While other celebrities on this list didn’t wear a traditional wedding gown, they still had a traditional wedding. However, Hollywood actress Kristen Bell, skipped wearing a dress when she tied the knot in 2013 to Dex Shepard. The actress had a private wedding, but she recently shared pictures of their special day. The couple got married at the courthouse and Kristen wore black top and pants and a sparkling necklace.

Teyana married basketball player Iman Shumpert in 2016. The couple wore matching red biker jackets that had writing on the back. Teyana’s was written, ‘I do’, her husband’s was written ‘I do too.’ The couple included their daughter Junie and hers was written, ‘Oh!... Me too.’
Real estate broker and Selling Sunset cast member, Christine Quinn got married to businessman, Christian Richard, in December, 2019. She wore a black ballgown with a sheer black veil that had beaded appliques on it for her winter wonderland themed wedding. The dress was custom made for her by Galia Lahav.
There you have it, wedding gowns come not only in all shapes and sizes, they come in all colours too. So go ahead and get colourful when you tie the knot, you have celebrity approval.
